We have an exciting opportunity available for hardworking, dynamic & mature individuals with a passion for travel & people to fill the position of Hostel Assistant.
This is a full time permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
To be successful in this role you will be motivated, computer savvy and happy to work in a busy environment. It would be ideal if you have some experience in customer service, accommodation, or tourism.
Day to day responsibilities will include : Interacting with guests, Reception, Cash Handling, Administration, Travel Sales & General Cleaning duties.
The ability to speak a second language would be useful . but not essential.
You will be expected to be flexible with regards to working public holidays & weekends and able to be on call overnight.
Given the remote location of Aoraki Mt Cook we are looking for candidates who are social, independent, mature and self-reliant.
