The ASB Financial Crime and Investigations team are tasked with the vital undertaking of minimising fraudulent losses. They are a team of specialists responsible for the detection, monitoring, assessment, due diligence and investigation of financial crime with regard to Anti Money Laundering (AML) / Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulations, Sanctions, Foreign Tax Compliance obligations and Fraud.

We have an opportunity available to join this unique team. The Role We have an exciting opportunity available to join our Detection Team as a Financial Crime Analyst -

  • you will be responsible for managing a range of financial crime related activities including AML and Fraud Detection Transactional Monitoring;
  • Payment Sanctions; Customer Sanctions / Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and Customer Risk. You will analyse and interrogate data received from various internal and external sources to make sound decisions as to the next steps.

    The customer will be at the heart of everything you do, assisting them to ensure remedial measures are put in place and expectations around resolution and time frames are managed.

    Skills and Experience Success in this role requires someone who puts the customers' needs at the heart of everything they do.

    Further to your success will be : A naturally inquisitive and investigative mind with the ability to ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times A mature outlook, comfort working independently, and to be able to make informed decisions Demonstrate keen initiative with an eye for detail Exposure to a Fraud Detection, Fraud Monitoring, Fraud Investigation or AML / CFT related tasks Digitally savvy (SQL experience is beneficial) A Finance, Business or related degree is preferable with Asian language speaking skills being advantageous Due to the nature of the role, the team operates on a 24 / 7 rotating roster (averaging 2 weekends off per month).

    As such, this role will suit someone who is able to commit to rotational shifts. You will also need to hold a full drivers licence and have use of a vehicle as public transport will not always be available due to the timing of shifts.
