Full & part time positions 8 hr rostered shifts Orthopaedic Inpatient Wards at Mercy & Ascot Hospitals

East Wing at Ascot is a 30 bed elective Orthopaedic and Plastics surgical inpatient unit. St Cecilia's at Mercy is a 30 bed elective Orthopaedic surgical inpatient unit.

As an RN on either of these units you'll work alongside Auckland's top Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a great team of RNs and HCAs.

It's a very busy environment where you'll belong to a positive supportive team that values communication and respect. We work well and we work hard together and we provide positive experience and outcome for our patients.

Our dedicated Charge Nurse Manager will motivate you to provide excellence in patient care and encourage you to access funded professional development programmes .

Full orientation is given to all new staff and our Clinical Nurse Educator provides support to keep you informed of the latest trends in orthopaedic surgical nursing.

Key Requirements

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ & a current APC
  • Excellent clinical skills with at least 1 year current experience in orthopaedic nursing
  • Outstanding assessment skills, time management skills, confidence in your practice and the ability to think on your feet
  • To be available to work rostered shifts across a 24 / 7 service
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and be a true teamworker
