Excellent opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager to support an important national contract.

Broadspectrum are seeking 2 Facilities Managers to coordinate the delivery of services to one of our most important national contracts.

One role will be based in the South Island Dunedin is preferable but Christchurch is also a possibility. The other role will be based in Wellington or possibly Palmerston North or Wanganui.

The purpose of the role is to manage the provision of excellent service levels, build strong relationships with key client representatives and ensure that contract performance is optimised in areas such as minor / major works and additional services.

Strong stakeholder management and the ability to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes will be the keys to success in this role.

Some of the day to day duties and responsibilities include the following activities

  • Completing audits Looking after routine and reactive maintenance Look after some tracks
  • This position will suit a Facilities Manager with experience in project management of building work. You will be expected to have excellent relationship development skills, strong operations management experience, excellent commercial acumen and demonstrable success in client management.

    QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Significant experience in managing large programmed maintenance, particularly in a hard dollar environment (lump sum or schedule of rates)
  • Previous team leadership or team management experience.
  • Strong financial skills, and demonstrable knowledge of HSE legislation and duty of care.
  • Ability to develop excellent high level and working interface relationships with clients and internal stakeholders and a demonstrable ability to identify ways to partner with, and add value
  • Tertiary qualifications in facilities management, engineering or construction will be advantageous although strong business acumen is of most importance.
  • Construction or HVAC contracting experience will also be advantageous.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
  • This is a fixed-term opportunity ending mid-next year. This role may or may not extend.
