  • Opportunity to work within a knowledgeable and dedicated team in a lead role managing an experienced and reliable crew of Transmission Linemen
  • Important role with good support systems in place to plan and execute Transmission Lines maintenance and fault response activities across Lower North Island area.
  • Ventia is seeking a full time Depot Supervisor to join our dedicated and busy Transmission Lines Team based in Wellington.

    In this role, you will be expected to provide supervision, direction, and support to the Transmission Lines Team undertaking maintenance tasks in the Lower North Island area.

    While we are looking for a Supervisor this could be a perfect role for a current leading hand to look to progress their career with the support of the wider team.

    Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a busy role, leading a team of experienced Transmission Lineman and Trades Assistants.

    Key requirements :

  • Transmission Lines Industry qualifications and work experience including asset maintenance and fault response experience
  • A focus on communication, delivery and quality outcomes for the Client is paramount
  • Highly organised with excellent leadership and communications skills to staff and peers alike
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding and adherence to the Health and Safety practices of the Transmission Lines and Electrical Services Industry
  • Excellent planning, cost management and resource management skills required
  • Physically fit, with the ability and willingness to maintain required physical fitness levels.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 1 minimum) and experience driving appropriate vehicles on and off road in all weather conditions.
  • There is a strong focus on Health and Safety in this role as well as customer service and meeting client’s needs. As the ideal candidate, you will need to be a team player, adaptable organised, and Client-focused.
