We are seeking a customer focused, results driven, energetic Pre-sales Systems Engineer , with previous relevant experience.

The Network Systems Engineer works as a customer and partner focused resource to provide Ruckus technical solutions to meet customer requirements .

These technical sales professionals provide the account team with technical sales support and accountability for an opportunity through working with the Account Manager translating customer business needs into technical requirements.

Key is your ability to understand the customer business model and common financial pain points and therefore being able to frame Ruckus offerings in terms of business drivers.

You will be assisting with complex bid support including RFI / RFP response preparation, involved in the pre-sales engineering designs and Bill of Material creation.

You are responsible for Account Management, such as building and maintaining relationships with customers / partners in order to increase preference and demand for Ruckus products and services as well as providing technical updates to customers and business partners.

You are also expected to take a lead role in customer meetings related to solutions, systems architectures, design and overall deployment and taking the lead role in developing and performing product / solution demonstrations during the sales process, schedule and set up customer proof of concepts / trials as well as assisting at marketing events

In the role you provide an architectural perspective across the Ruckus product portfolio and develops relationships with the customers’ technical staff.

The Network Systems Engineer has general knowledge of their target technology as well as an overview understanding of adjacent technologies.

To remain successful in your role you are required to understand internetworking industry trends, including new products and solutions and the competitive product and solution landscape.

To be taken into consideration for this position, you must be knowledge, able to quickly evaluate and analyse a situation, provide sound advise quickly, and be able to work in a pressured environment.

Work is done routinely independent of any direct supervision.

Additional requirements for this position are :

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree (BS / BA minimum) in Electrical, Computer, or Networking Engineering; Computer Programming;
  • Information Technology; Management Information Systems; Computer Science; Mathematics.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with Networking technologies.
  • Strong IP networking background in Switching, Routing, Wireless technologies & Secure Access protocols (VLANs, STP, OSPF, RIP, BGP, Multicast, MPLS, 802.
  • 11a / b / g / n / ac, 802.1x etc.).

  • Ruckus product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings
  • A Professional networking industry certification is preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of SE technical skills; including, 802.11 a / g / n / ac / ax, wireless predictive heat maps, wireless troubleshooting, wireless network optimization, Ethernet Switching, IP networking, OSI model, including Layer 1-3
  • Foundational knowledge of the VLANs, VoIP; wired and wired technologies
  • Effective technical presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Proven skills in troubleshooting / analysing
  • Ability to deliver meaningful training courses and / or speaking at public industry events
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain relationships
  • Good public speaking and written communication skills.
  • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel and MS Office.
