As Cloudy Bay Vineyard is increasing in capacity, we would like to employ an additional hands-on Site Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will join another highly skilled Engineer and together you will provide infrastructure and equipment maintenance across our Blenheim site.

You must have served a recognized mechanical apprenticeship to be considered for this role. The Site Engineers will take responsibility of the preventative maintenance of site-wide assets, technical support of our operations and ongoing continuous improvement projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for :

  • Developing & managing the execution of preventative maintenance systems;
  • Monitoring the performance of operational machinery & making improvements through development projects;
  • Providing breakdown maintenance & technical support as required;
  • Identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Overseeing the quality of all engineering work onsite, including the safety management of contractors;
  • Managing both R&M and project spending;
  • Promoting a positive safety culture across all departments
  • Requirements

    In order to succeed in this position, you will have :

  • Ideally fitter and & turner or maintenance and diagnostics qualifications;
  • Disconnect / Reconnect License will be advantageous;
  • Pneumatics experience;
  • Previous engineering & maintenance experience in a food or beverage environment;
  • Hands-on experience managing preventative & breakdown maintenance;
  • Proven analytical, multi-tasking & strategy building skills;
  • A strong customer focus with an overall commitment to quality;
  • Experience with the management of skilled trade contractors;
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills;

    Competitive salary + annual bonus target + 9% super + wine allocation
