We are looking for our new City Transport Unit Director to help uscontinue to facilitate Hamilton’s rapid growth. Reporting to the GeneralManager Infrastructure Operations, you will provide critical peopleleadership, while developing and driving organisational strategies that will shapeand deliver our high performance programme.
You will have scope to define thefuture direction of the city’s transport activity of creating a safe and accessiblecity network to improve the social, economic, cultural, and environmental wellbeingof our community.
Through digital transformation and the continual improvement of systems andprocesses, you will lead practices that optimise the city’s transport networksand services.
You will also provide a strong focus on safety, customers,quality, and compliance. As part of your role, you will actively engage withthe community, iwi and mana whenua, stakeholders, and customers to deliver ourwork programmes, resulting in best practice delivery, value for money andadvocacy for the work we do.
Expertise in the transportation and roading industry, people leadership, andthe delivery of operational excellence is important, but having the rightmindset and behaviours is imperative.
