    The Opportunity

    We have an opportunity within our Business Advisory division in Hamilton, New Zealand for a professional and motivated Accountant who is ready to make an impact and be part of something revolutionary.

    You’ll have the opportunity to be trained, mentored and coached by a team of experienced senior managers and partners, you’ll be exposed to developing real client contacts and growing your ability to nurture excellent professional relationships, making a real impact for clients and their businesses.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Produce financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies
  • As integral part of the team, consistently provide quality accountancy services with efficiency and accuracy, helping client to understand their tax liabilities and due dates well in advance, so they can plan for these payments (or refunds), assisting cash flow
  • Working with a range of the top accounting software, helping clients to learn the full functionality of their system and get the most out of it for their business needs
  • Contribute to our virtual CFO offering, supporting the outsourcing of finance functions for clients
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts to help clients plan their cash-based transactions to meet their financial commitment
  • What you need to be successful

  • At least 6 months of accounting experience, ideally in medium to large accounting environments
  • Possess the drive to provide clients with an exceptionally high level of advice and care
  • Have an active interest in building their professional profile in the local community; and
  • You are either studying towards or have completed your CA or CPA
  • To be successful in this role, it is critical that you have the ability to plan ahead and prioritise your workload. You will be able to work as part of a team plus possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
