We are actively recruiting for an Engineering Manager . TheEngineering Managerisreporting to the National Engineering Manager NZand is responsible for the engineering delivery and technical success of all assigned projects.

This includes staff management of the assigned engineering team as well as delivering the project scope on time and budget.

Typical activities include reviews of technical documentation, coordination with internal and external project stakeholders, developing, documenting and validating the engineering requirements, coordinatingworkpackagesforlocalandremoteprojectteammembersandassistingwith the commissioning tasks.

Additionally, ensuring engineering deliverables are cost effective by using low cost remote engineering services and driving local productivity in line with Honeywell’s compliance requirements including standardization, process improvement, training, adoption and utilization of standard tools and initiatives.

Also, the Engineering Manager is expected to contribute to the engineeringadvancementbypursuingcontinuedprofessionaldevelopmentandadoption of new initiatives within the engineeringteam.

  • Key Responsibilities, Education, Qualification & Experience;
  • A degree or considerable experience in an electrical, electronic, mechatronic or similar engineering discipline or trade
  • People management experience in a technical environment
  • Some experience and understanding of ICT (e.g. Networks and Servers)
  • Experience in electronic security and / or control systems engineering (hardware and software)
  • Considerable experience in engineering and project management, including extensive on-site deployment knowledge
  • Previous exposure to sub-contractor management in a technical and / or construction environment
  • Identification and assessment of customer needs and specifications on-site and translation into workable solutions and scope requirements
  • Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
  • Close co-operation with estimators and the sales team
  • Provide technical direction to other project team members, help in planning / scheduling of project execution and Quality Assurance
