About the role

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Café Supervisor with strong commercial acumen to lead our café team to deliver excellent service to the public and the Village residents, driving sales through the café, and setting up the right systems and processes to guide a small, efficient team.

Reporting to the Village Manager, this is a front of house role where you will be on the floor delivering a warm and inviting experience for our village residents and their guests.

You will also be responsible for other duties such as rostering, stock ordering, staff management, setting and reviewing processes, and adhering to food safety guidelines.

As Café Supervisor, you will utilise your team building and leadership skills to train, develop and inspire the team, fostering a great culture and environment where residents will be proud to bring their guests.

On offer is a full time position, working 40 hours per week.

Skills & experience required

You will have strong commercial and financial acumen as you will be responsible for the Café profit & loss with a focus on growing revenues.

You will have a strong background in food and beverage services preferably in a supervisory / management role. You will also be an exceptional barista, deliver outstanding customer service, and be able to effortlessly juggle several tasks at once with a smile.

You will be the face of the café, so you must have impeccable personal presentation, an engaging friendly approach, and be mature and reliable with exceptional communication skills.

It goes without saying that you will have an excellent command of spoken and written English, strong people-management and time-

management skills, and you will be confident dealing with customers and all aspects of customer service. A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate will be advantageous as well as commercial kitchen experience.
