    An opportunity has become available for a Vineyard Technical Supervisor to join us at Marlborough Winery to assist in day-

    to-day supervision of vineyard operations to ensure they are conducted in a timely, cost effective, safe, product specific manner through application of best practice viticulture.

    In addition the role is responsible for the execution of the technical program on site, assist in the co-ordination of contract labour crews where necessary.

    You will be responsible for :

  • Working with the Vineyard manager to identify New Zealand viticultural challenges, needs and opportunities
  • Collation of data to produce annual pest and disease and nutritional programs
  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining NZ technical database, aligned with TWE Global Viticulture systems
  • Responsible for completing pruning plans for owned vineyards and ensuring they are implemented by vineyard management
  • Under the guidance of the Vineyard manager manage data collection and reporting of yield assessments and proposal of trials and projects to improve fruit quality, profitability, sustainability and water use
  • Track all safety and environmental requirements and ensure these standards are maintained, while ensuring continuous improved is achieved
  • Your practical vineyard experience and extensive practical experience in agricultural operations, combined with good people management will help you lead your team to success.

    With excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite, you have a demonstrated ability to lead a team. You're Tertiary Qualified in Viticulture or a closely related field and have industry leading skills in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.
