    Travel Money (part of Flight Centre Travel Group) is our fastest growing brand in New Zealand. Our consultants are experts in providing foreign currency solutions that help customers get more out of their holiday.

    We are more traveller than banker and are fluent in global currencies.

    You’ll be part of a network of approximately 20 Travel Money stores across the country and over 130 stores across New Zealand, Australia and USA.

  • We provide expert advice on travel money needs including;
  • Buying and Selling over fifty different currencies
  • Prepaid travel money cards
  • International money transfers
  • Travel Insurance
  • About the role

    You'll be mainly based between our Sylvia Park and Manukau locations. You may also be called upon to work in various stores in your area from time to time.

  • Your permanent hours are;
  • Wednesday 9am - 6pm (Manukau)
  • Friday 9am - 9pm (Manukau)
  • Saturday 9am - 7pm (Sylvia Park)
  • Sunday 9am-7pm (Sylvia Park)
  • Our consultants are compelling and personable sellers, confident in chatting to anyone and everyone about their travel plans and travel money needs.

    Their outstanding customer service and sales skills help set us apart from the rest and make us experts in the wider foreign exchange market.

    Your day to day will include :

  • Demonstrating expertise in our four key products : foreign currency, prepaid travel money cards, international money transfers and travel insurance
  • General operation of the business including opening and closing of the store
  • Striving for individual and team KPIs and goals. In other words, sell the money to make the money
  • Building your own loyal customer base through exceptional customer service and well thought out local marketing initiatives.
  • Commitment to efficiently completing transactions with a high level of accuracy and a genuine regard for customer focused solutions
  • What makes a successful applicant?

  • Prior retail or sales experience preferred
  • Keen interest in travel
  • A robust, energetic and sincere approach to customer service
  • The ability to think quickly and handle pressure in a professional manner
  • Available and willing to the above mentioned hours
  • The legal right to work in New Zealand for a minimum 2 years
