Wholly independent and employee owned, we have staff worldwide working in sectors including transport, energy, buildings, water and the environment, health and education.

Our team in Auckland has exciting environmental monitoring projects coming up and are seeking monitoring specialists to expand our capability on a one-

year fixed term contract. We recognise that many candidates will have no experience or qualifications in this area, as such, full training will be provided.

Job Description

The successful candidates will be based in our central Auckland office, but largely required to work in the field. There may be a requirement to undertake short-

term travel in New Zealand, if required. You will be working alongside skilled water industry professionals and will require a valid drivers licence for this role.

The role involves field work in order to gather in-situ field monitoring data, collect water quality samples, store them appropriately for testing and transfer them to the laboratory for analysis.

Facilitating the reporting of results will also be required.

Candidate Specification

The person ideally suited to the role will have the following attributes :

  • Keen learner
  • Interest in water and environmental monitoring
  • Sound computer skills with the basic packages email, MS-Office (Word / Excel) and ability to problem solve
  • Practical, shows initiative and able to work independently
  • Record keeping skills
  • Able to manage their time and organise their work effectively
  • Physically fit and able to pass a full medical test
  • Willing to work around water and wastewater
  • Able to travel out of town overnight / multiple nights
  • NZ drivers licence
  • Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
