An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Infant, Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service in the Hutt Valley.
24 hours per week, 8.30 5pm, Mon Fri, days to be negotiated.
We are looking for an enthusiastic NZ registered Social Worker with experience working in child and adolescent mental health.
The part-time position will be based in our energetic multidisciplinary Tautāwhi team working with 0 - 18 year olds and their families / whanau.
The Tautāwhi team (7 FTE approx.) is the front door’ for ICAFS, providing all Choice (assessment) appointments and brief individual, family and group interventions for up to two months.
They manage all new acute presentations, in partnership with the Crisis Resolution Service and provide consult liaison within the hospital when needed.
This role is an integral part of the ICAFS team and the successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively and supportively with other team members to ensure appropriate and evidence based care is provided for these children and young people.
The person suitable for this role will have excellent case management skills and be comfortable managing risk. They will also be able to establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the team, service, the DHB, the wider mental health services, and community agencies
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of approximately fourteen mental health professionals of various disciplines.
The DHB will fund professional registration fees and the 3DMHAIDs has policies to support staff access professional development and training.
NZ registration with Social Work Registration Board essential as is a full drivers licence.
