The focus of this role is on the transition from care to independence family group conferences.
The care and protection family group conference provides a valuable forum for whānau, hapu, iwi and professionals to come together to create safety and care solutions for tamariki and rangatahi as they prepare to transition into the next phase of their life.
The focus is on family led decisions that support whānau to develop positive outcomes for their rangatahi and working with community partners to ensure that they provide support to whanau in caring for their tamariki and rangatahi.
This role will be covering the Central and North West sites and your base will be the Takapuna Site.
For this to be successful, it requires comprehensive consultation and preparation. You will need to be highly organised, deadline driven and have a culturally sensitive and aware approach towards people in the process all whilst keeping tamariki and rangatahi at the heart of everything you do.
