NIWA is New Zealand's largest and pre-eminent provider of climate and atmosphere, freshwater and ocean science.
We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Project Coordinator to provide project support within the Operations team.
The role involves working with our science staff to help implement and manage multiple projects across the country for our exciting environmental science programmes.
monitor progress to budget, and carry out revenue and expenditure forecasting. A key task will involve liaising with clients on all aspects of project administration, contract negotiations, and resolving project issues that might impede delivery of the science to the client.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, basic accounting knowledge, and be a great communicator. You will be proficient in computerised financial management systems, Microsoft Excel, contract preparation, and client liaison.
You will also need to have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processes and performance. This is a critical position that helps drive the management and project performance of NIWA's Wellington site and the national project coordination team.
