    DC Equipment seeks a high performing individual with a proven background in engineering and / or electronics manufacturing to be part of their senior leadership team.

    DC Equipment was created in 2012 by a group of innovative loggers with a passion and unwavering intent to develop machinery and products that eliminate accidents and ultimately save lives in the New Zealand steep slope logging industry.

    Five years on they are doing just that! Based in Brightwater, at the top of the South Island, DC Equipment manufactures and maintains its innovative Falcon Forestry Equipment range.

    Products are internationally sold throughout New Zealand, Chile, Canada and the U.S.

    DC Equipment are currently seeking a Senior Production Manager with superior planning and organisation skills and an excellent attitude particularly towards Health & Safety.

    Key responsibilities will include :

  • Supervising 23 to 25 engineers, fabricators and electrical staff.
  • Planning work programs to deliver on the production schedule.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met / exceeded.
  • Setting monthly targets for the team and monitoring if met.
  • Ensuring quality is met / exceeded.
  • Working closely with senior management to improve manufacturing systems, processes and outcomes.
  • As the ideal individual you will be :

  • Proven in your leadership skills with an engaging and collaborative style.
  • Experienced in production management or project management preferably in an engineering environment.
  • Able to develop relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A natural systems person, forward thinking and inspired to increase efficiency and minimise waste.
  • Able to demonstrate engineering knowledge having an engineering or electronics qualification would be an advantage, but not essential.
