Early Career Analyst Program Description

At the start of the program, you will join the global class of hundreds of Analysts at New York for the initial training where you build your peer network and meet our senior leaders.

2018 is an exciting and dynamic time for Liability and Financial Lines (LFL). We have clear strategies set in order to achieve success and you will ensure LFL meets our goals by being a key part of projects and initiatives that will drive the business as outlined below.
The LFL department is a market leader in providing insurance against the costs of unexpected legal issues. We take pride in looking after our policyholders who face legal claims and we employ experienced staff to ensure that policyholders receive prompt and professional service.
Our products and services are distributed in partnership with professional insurance brokers and advisers. The main insurances underwritten by the team are General Liability, Professional Indemnity, Directors and Officers Liability, Product Recall and Cyber.
Grow the Business :
You will be involved in the Digital delivery of LFL products to the NZ market. Working with underwriters, project team and external parties in the deployment of technology to make things faster, simpler and more convenient for brokers.
AIG’s two digital platforms Transact and Enterprise will be at the stage where you are required to accelerate the implementation and delivery to the market.
Product Development Cyber and Technology Insurance are ideal products that require fresh talent and skills in order to meet the ever changing needs of business.
You will work with seasoned underwriters in upgrading and developing policy wording forms including applicable marketing and advertising in order to deliver best in market solution.
Liaise with underwriters and marketing to provide articles and commentary to publications on thought leadership on current issues.
Change Management :
Involvement in the reverse migration of policy administration into NZ LFL. This will involve working with Underwriters, Compliance and Claims in amending work instructions and developing standards to ensure quality processing.
Increase process efficiency to reduce multi-touch processes.
Portfolio Management / Business Analysis :
Assist the LFL leadership manage a quality portfolio and be involved in strategy by using and developing business reports.
Currently analysis of book is on ad hoc basis and requirements would be producing timely reports in order for our sales team to manage their relationships and manage the book of business.
All the above alongside learning underwriting and account management across LFL business and brokers.

You will be energetic, flexible, comfortable with ambiguity and able to problem solve effectively. In addition, the ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of management, and to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization, will also be key to your success.
You will ideally have graduated from ANY degree discipline to commence your role as soon as possible. Recent graduates with up to 2 years experience will also be considered.
