The Finance Analyst - Costing will provide a comprehensive analyticalservice giving guidance, advice and support to assist the achievement ofstrategic and operational objectives and will work within the Pacific Costingand Digital team alongside NZ Finance Ops.

The positioncontributes to the Pernod Ricard Winemakers’ vision and mission and strives forcontinuous improvement in all that we do.

It aims to achieve best practice, delivery of concise insights aroundvariances in business performance and challenge of business assumptions beingused in forecasts / budgets.

The purpose of this position is to business partnerwith the operations business and wineries to ensure consistent assumptions arebeing made across all reporting, play a pivotal role in the budget andforecasting process as well as produce the associated reporting packs forsenior management.

Key Responsibilities :

Under the general direction of the Finance Manager -Costing, activities will include but will not be limited to the following :

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annualanalysis and commentary on actual and forecast / budget manufacturing variance(MV) for bulk wine, dry, wet, production and distribution costs.
  • Completion of monthly balance sheetreconciliations.
  • Responsible for month end systems close and collaborationbetween wineries and operations.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting pack.
  • Finance business partnering with operationsteam, wineries and other HO functions.
  • Play a key role in contributing towards thebudget and forecasting period.
  • Assist with half year, year-end and auditprocessing.
  • Assist with adhoc projects and analysis.
  • Actively take part in process improvement andutilising efficiencies through systems available.
  • Carry out cost rolls and COGS requests asrequired by PDM team, Operations and NPD.
