Reporting to the Deputy Director-General, Strategy and People, this role leads a dedicated team with a mandate to further develop DOC's unique internal culture and continue to lift the performance of all staff.
Based in Wellington but with national responsibility, this role will be focussed on tangible change.
If you are the successful candidate you will be a proven operator at the executive level, with specific experience in organisational change and development.
Influential, pragmatic and down to earth, you will be adept at managing and harnessing highly intelligent staff and will be solutions and action focussed.
You will know how get buy in to OD initiatives through ongoing influencing of other leaders and be willing to get the basics right'.
Being able to demonstrate tangible behavioural change as a result of your work will be important. You will have worked in a large and disparate organisation and be politically astute.
From time to time you may deputise for the DD-G, so a broad strategic skill set is important.
