Job Description

This role can either be a permanent appointment, of fixed term for six (6) months.

We are looking for a Funds Advisor to join our Funds team. The Funds team is focussed on making a positive difference to conservation by managing investments from the DOC Community Fund and Nature Heritage Fund.

This role can either be a permanent appointment, of fixed term for 6 months.

Our Advisor requires the ability to provide quality advice to and build and maintain strong working relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including community groups, private landowners and DOC's operational staff

  • You will have strong organisational skills and an attention to detail. Data analysis skills would also be a preference.
  • Experience and knowledge of grant funding and community-led conservation initiatives would be an advantage
  • Our work is fast-paced, so you will need to enjoy being responsive, flexible, and tackling tricky challenges. You will be able to demonstrate :

    Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
