To effectively lead a warehouse shift team of employees, empowering them to be self motivated, develop and drive Key performance targets, provide feedback on a regular basis to the Warehouse Manager and communicate to the work force the team and company objectives.

  • To achieve optimal service levels for all internal and external customers, ensuring consistent approach to standards and behaviours across the shift teams.
  • PERFORMANCE CRITERIA : -? Develop and manage the Shift team by managing performance and behaviours to achieve the defined standards.

  • Ensure compliance to all Company Health and Safety and GMP standards at all times, always working in a health and safety conscious manner and aware of any issues that may arise from your own actions.
  • To supervise and manage agreed budgets and capital expenditure specific to your area of control.? Ensure regular audits of area and equipment are maintained.
  • Collaboratively work with the Shift Management team to ensure consistent standards are applied and all service expectations and department KPI’s are achieved (internal and external).
  • To ensure accurate control of all finished goods, raw materials and packaging, ensuring total traceability of product via the warehouse management system?
  • To ensure the accurate and efficient management of all warehouse functions, particularly receipt, storage and despatch of all finished goods.

  • To manage and develop a shift team to a level that accommodates optimum completion of all required tasksKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS : -
  • Understanding and awareness of Warehousing, stock control processes and related equipment.? Ability to analyse, understand and communicate data.
  • Ability to understand the principles and processes of effective communication / presentation and when / how to apply them in all aspects of the role.
  • Results Focus. The proven ability to develop and motivate direct reports ensuring, by managing through people processes and policies, maximum performance output is achieved.
  • COMPETENCES, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS : -? Experience of leading and managing people within a FMCG environment. Preferably educated to ILM level 3 or equivalent in Logistics Field.

  • Project Management Skills? Good Organisational Skills. Be able to manage resource, equipment and related costs to meet service requirements?
  • Lean Qualifications to include root Cause Analysis Skills? Strong interpersonal and communication skills.? Effective Leadership skills.

    Ability to inspire, motivate, direct and guide others. To be decisive, pro-active and assertive.? Proven ability to define and manage to clear process standards.

  • To be able to resolve conflict and build effective relationships with internal / external customers / suppliersKEY REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS : ?

    Internal : Reports to Site Warehouse Manager. Strong inter-department relationships with Operations Manager, Production Shift Managers, Quality Team, Customer service Team, Great Bear logistics?

    Food Safety, Legality and Quality of productsAll employees must follow and abide by the company’s policies and operating practices regarding food safety, quality and legality as detailed within the individual sites HACCP / SPEQ plan.

    All employees should adhere to the Company GMP policy at all times.It is the employee’s responsibility to alert their Supervisor of any issues that could affect the product in relation to food safety, quality & legality.
