  • Mental Health Services for OlderAdults (MHSOA) provides a range of services to people over the age of 65 yearswho are experiencing mental health difficulties, and / orcognitive change, and operates within an integrated model of care alongside gerontologyservices for this population group.

    We currently have a vacancy for afull time Clinical Psychologist in our cohesive multidisciplinary communityteam that serves the culturally diverse population of west Auckland.

    Youwill be responsible for providing psychological assessment, interventions andconsultation. You will provide care co-ordination to aproportion of clients receiving psychological interventions.

    Neuropsychological assessment skills are a vital component of this position andexperience in DBT and group facilitation skills would be an advantage.

    We are looking for a ClinicalPsychologist with :

  • Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Psychology or equivalent
  • Proven psychological, psychometric and neuropsychological assessment skills
  • Experience working within a DBT framework (preferable) and / or in other particular evidence based interventions and therapy modalities
  • Sound skills in specialist mental health assessment, treatment and safety planning
  • NZPB registration, clinical scope
  • Current APC
  • Under the APEXcollective contract psychologists receive up to $2500 each per year forContinuing Professional Development which can be accumulated over two years to$5000.

    This offers the chance to attend overseas conferences or multipleworkshops, plus books, and subscriptions each year.
