Kia hiwa rā!

The Office of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu is a dynamic organisation that exists to support the tribal institutions of Ngāi Tahu, and to give effect to the aspirations of Ngāi Tahu Whānui, guided by our vision of 'mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei' (for us and our children after us).

The Chief Information Officer is responsible for the leadership of the Business Information Services (BIS) team, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

Supporting a wide range of internal customers across our diverse business operations, the BIS team provides high quality service delivery and continuous improvement of business-

aligned ICT services. The CIO holds a key strategic role to ensure that ICT services are developed to provide Te Rūnanga Group with the necessary productivity tools and access to information to deliver key services and outcomes to all of Ngāi Tahu.

BIS is a key component of our centralised support service structure of Te Uru Kahikatea which also includes Finance & Planning, Legal, People & Culture, Communications and Monitoring and Compliance functions.

Together these teams provide high quality service provision to all stakeholders across Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu group businesses and other key associated entities.

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about supporting and enabling the interests and aspirations of Ngāi Tahu Whānui.

An inclusive and inspiring leader, your style will foster a supportive and safe environment for staff development. You will have demonstrated a personal commitment to values-

based leadership in your everyday practice.

Significant experience in a relationship-focused senior management role is essential, together with a proven track record of achieving results.

Strong experience with recognised IT frameworks and standards together with strategic planning and governance related to an ICT function is desirable.

An awareness and openness to Ngāi Tahu values, tikanga and te reo Māori will enable the successful candidate to build and maintain good relationships with a wide variety of contacts across Te Rūnanga Group requiring support and guidance, including corporate entities and our whānau.
