  • The Opportunity

    Our client is a leading engineering and environmental consultancy with a reputation for high quality work. This represents a great opportunity to take a lead role in the field of water sensitive design.

    In this role, you will be leadingwater sensitive design for stormwater and surface water related resources projects. You will be active in effectively performing, leading, managing and promoting the development of Stormwater / Water Sensitive Design consultancy services.

  • Interfacing with surface water science and hydrology / hydrogeology teams.
  • Leading business development activities and raising company profile in stormwater / Water Sensitive Design business.
  • Taking a proactive approach to client relationship management and ongoing liaison with regulators and other relevant bodies.
  • Ensuring quality, safety and risk management processes are developed and implemented, and ensuring profitability of the team through effective and timely management of workflows and billing.
  • About You

    You will likely hold a degree qualified in Civil, Environmental or Natural Resources Engineering from a recognised university with at least 8 years+ experience including some of the following :

  • Water sensitive design, planning, green infrastructure design
  • Catchment management planning and analysis
  • Stormwater treatment analysis and design and modelling
  • Stormwater capacity analysis and design (overland flows, soakage, waterway conveyance and restoration)
  • Flood risk identification, management and 1D / 2D modelling
  • Experience in preparing stormwater / flood management models using a variety of computational software (HEC, MIDUSS, SWMM, TUFLOW, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of local authority guidelines, Resource Management Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Ideally you will gave worked in a consulting environment, with substantive stormwater engineering and, including feasibility, design, modelling, and contract and construction management where you have gained knowledge / experience of :

  • Client management and work stream development
  • Leadership and development of a team.
  • Proposal and report writing, presentation skills and preparation of technical papers, and CPEng registration (or equivalent).
