  • The role

    As Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will provide effective coaching and support for EQC's internal leaders, and support the delivery of HR initiatives and projects.

    Working collaboratively with the wider HR Team, you will play a key role in shaping the HR experience at EQC while ensuring we continue to provide quality service.

    An experienced HR professional, it goes without saying that you will have highly developed interpersonal skills enabling you to build and maintain strong relationships with managers and Senior Leaders across the organisation.

    To be successful in this role you will bring with you :

  • Significant generalist HR experience providing senior level support and strategic advice
  • Strong ER expertise, and the ability to balance legal requirements and best practice with achieving a pragmatic outcome
  • People engagement skills that are second to none
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience implementing people and career development strategies and processes
  • A sound understanding of the collection, interpretation and uses of HR information and the ability to convey this to a variety of audiences
  • This is a key role requiring resilience, agility and a passion for people! You will be rewarded with working in an amazing team, where no two days are the same.

    About the People, Culture and Change Group

    The People, Culture and Change (PC&C) Group are responsible for creating the people and culture capabilities to execute EQC's strategy in line with the Customer Centred Operating Model.

    Having recently gone through a reorganisation the PC&C team is now set up to deliver powerfully into the future and we are excited to be recruiting new talent into the team at this time of transformation.

    EQC is a crown entity with a mission to reduce the impact of natural disasters on people and property. We're a support partner to people in their greatest hour of need when dealing with the results of earthquakes, floods, landslips, cyclones, geothermal activity and other natural disasters on land and residential property.

    EQC has had its' most concentrated growth in the last eight years. Whilst being around since 1945 in responding to the Canterbury Earthquake events, EQC has emerged as an entirely different entity than pre-

    2010. With a new CE in 2017, a new ELT and Board Chair in 2018, the organisation is reshaping to support the delivery of claim outcomes as well as enhance the partnerships it has in the political, local and central government, insurance, media and community environments.

    You would be joining an organisation of people who are motivated and passionate about our core values with an emphasis on working together, always learning, doing the right thing and making a positive difference in our customers' lives.
