The District Nursing Service (Napier / Hastings) would like to invite an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse who would enjoy the rewards associated with working autonomously in the community, to join the team for a 12 month period to cover parental leave.
You will be joining the District Nursing Service at an exciting time, as the model of care continues to be adjusted to reflect the provision of integrated services to meet the changing health needs of the Hawkes' Bay population.
The model is to be further enhanced through the use of technology to communicate directly with the general practice teams at the point of care.
If you are practising at a proficient level and have experience in a community setting, or, have a good understanding of the role of a nurse in the community environment and have expertise in other aspects of nursing, your application will be welcomed.
The position requires you have an unendorsed drivers licence.
This is a fixed term, part time (48 hours per fortnight) rostered rotating position. The hours of work consist of shifts Monday -
Sunday from 0800 -1630hrs or 1300 -2130hrs. You would be required to work at either or both the Hastings and Napier locations and from various sites in the primary health sector.
An orientation programme and support for competency development is provided and individualised to assist new employees with the role requirements when working as a District Nurse.
