Considering a move into Acute Community Mental Health? We are seeking motivated nurses to join our Acute Care pathway Intake and Acute Assessment Team and Home Based Treatment Team.

We provide mental health triage, acute assessments, treatment interventions, risk assessment, psycho-education, therapeutic interventions and support of people experiencing mental health and co-

existing drug and alcohol issues. Our team is mobile across our Counties Manukau community with branches’ of services also located within the Emergency Department at Middlemore Hospital and the Police Watch house in Manukau City, so you'd need to be flexible to work across all of these areas.

We work with a unique and growing multi-cultural population of Counties Manukau and it is this diversity that will enable you to be continually stimulated and challenged.

If you are a highly skilled Registered Nurse, and are looking for a dynamic, supportive and innovative clinical team we want to hear from you! If you :

  • Have strong clinical skills including clinical assessment and evidence based practice.
  • Are an engaging and confident communicator and decision maker with strong mental health and addiction nursing competencies
  • Are able to work autonomously and as a member of a team
  • Have a high level of time management and organisational skills
  • Are keen to utilise and further develop your cultural capability skills to better serve our community that has high Maaori and Pacific population.
  • Would like to join a team that endeavours to work in close collaboration with our clients, their whaanau and their Primary Care providers
  • Keen to work across different assessment settings within a dynamic intake team environment.
  • then we would like to hear from you! Essential :
  • Registered Psychiatric or Comprehensive Nurse
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate to work in Mental Health
  • Minimum of 3 years post registration experience in Mental Health
  • Full & Current NZ Driver's Licence
  • Desired :

  • Minimum of 3 years working within a community mental health setting
