ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Capital and Coast DHB (CCDHB) is located centrally in Wellington and has the equivalent of around 4,300 full time staff, making us a major employer in the Wellington region.

CCDHB operates two hospitals Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua as well as the Kapiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.

We also operate Te Korowai-Whāriki, a large mental health campus based at Porirua.

CCDHB provides a range of specialist services including neurosurgery, oncology, neonatal intensive care and community-based services including district nursing, rehabilitation services, social work, alcohol and drug services, and home support services to a population of around 900,000 people.

Wellington is New Zealand’s capital city, a cultural and cosmopolitan epicentre renowned for its vibrant cafés, restaurants, international sporting and cultural events set in a beautiful natural harbour.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We require an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join the Administration team in the Intensive Care Services.

This is a part-time position responsible to the Charge Nurse Manager and Clinical Director for the efficient and effective administration of the ICU.

This department employs 200 staff who care for the dynamic health needs of the critically ill.

The successful applicant will have advanced level of MS Office, an eye for detail as well as the ability to format written and numerical information effectively.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as there will be some reception duties within the clinical environment.

This position is a 0.5 FTE - 20 hours per week.

DUTIES

  • Daily reception support
  • Actively assist with managing administration systems and processes
  • Assisting the HR Administrator
  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of office administration systems and procedures
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
  • Commitment to customer service.
  • Proven experience in an administration role is essential
