The Opportunity

We are currently in our third renewal period with in our NOC contract with the NZTA to maintain the their road network in West Waikato South, and have an excellent opportunity for an experienced roads maintenance professional to take ownership of this relationship and contribute to the development of our strong, sustainable business in the region.

The Role

Working in close collaboration with our client, you will be responsible for the delivery of our contractual obligations across the West Waikato South region and ensuring that the resources available to you are deployed in a manner that maximises productivity.

This is a great opportunity to take ownership of our Hamilton Branch, and grow and develop it from the platform of a long term, secure maintenance project.

Your motivation for continuous improvement will prepare you to capitalise on opportunities to make improvements to processes, methodology and safety performance.

Excellent people leadership skills and the ability to build very strong working relationships with client representatives will accelerate your success in this role.

Skills and Experience.

  • A collaborative approach to contract management and experience in relationship style contracting.
  • Proven experience in leading and driving the performance of both office and field based teams as well as external consultants.
  • Significant management experience on maintenance contracts / projects in the roads industry.
  • A good grounding in professional services, renewals and rehabs, capital works and asset management.
  • Strong Commercial and Financial acumen and previous experience of P&L responsibility.
  • Proven experience and ability in financial management.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), NZCE qualifications or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with HSE practices within the roads construction and maintenance industry.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy
