  • Sanitarium Auckland Manufacturing are seeking applicants to be a key part of the team as a Process Technologist within our Technical Department.

    This is a full time, permanent position.

    This is a hands on role and requires someone who can demonstrate versatility and initiative. We are looking for someone who will rise to the challenge while in this pivotal role and make a positive impact within their work environment.

    Purpose of the Role :

    The role of the Process Technologist is to primarily guide Production Staff in implementation of initiatives to drive down complaint frequencies and to ensure compliance to food safety standards while implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

    The successful applicant will provide support and expertise within the Production department to ensure the Manufacturing Unit meets and complies with the correct specifications.

    Key Accountabilities :

  • Daily exports and reviews of customer and consumer complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety standards and Supply Chain Standards
  • Reviewing Product Development and specifications with support to the Marketing Team
  • Complying with HR related correspondence
  • Production and Technical Support
  • Complying with all Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • We are seeking a motivated person with drive for the importance of this role.

    The successful applicant will :

  • Have a minimum of 3 years previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Be tertiary qualified in Food Engineering / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent
  • Hold advanced HACCP qualification / s
  • Detailed and practical knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office
  • Be able to work unsupervised to achieve goals
  • Have an extremely high level of attention to detail
  • Have good communication skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding and support of the core values of Sanitarium.
