Finance Manager role that connects and works with Commercial and Operational teams

  • Our client is a large manufacturer based in Kinleith (Tokoroa). They are currently seeking a results-driven individual for the role of Finance Manager to lead their Finance team of five and provide leadership and support to the Commercial Manager.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and develop the Finance Team by managing the team members and contractors in a customer focused manner
  • Providing sound business advice and support to the operations management team on financial matters , ensuring the business achieves its financial targets
  • Deliver operational reporting and ensure it meets the business development and planning processes
  • Manage the Finance Team to ensure that common standards, policies and procedures are adopted and maintained in line with the business objectives
  • Contribute to the development of the business plans, co-ordinate the inputs and manage the establishment of the financial plans of the business unit
  • Develop and implement processes within the Finance Team to simplify and improve existing procedures
  • Management of internal control check-lists and liaison with internal audit
  • Coaching and development of the Finance team to build a resilient and high performing team that is fully engaged with the business.
  • Qualifications and Experience :

  • A tertiary qualification in commerce
  • Proven financial experience in a commercial environment with experience in the manufacturing or industrial industries
  • Preference given to individuals that have the right to work and live in NZ
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP system is an advantage
  • Proficient with financial modelling and excellent Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate qualities in leadership and the have the ability to communicate at all levels in an organisation are essential in this role.
