The Pacific Area Materials Management Department is seeking to appoint a casual receptionist for the Pacific Area Office.

This is a casual, on-call position located at the Pacific Area Office, Takapuna, New Zealand.   • Minimum two years’ experience in a receptionist or customer service role
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including a warm and friendly phone manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus
  • Positive, cheerful, and friendly attitude
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Proven initiative and ability to work unsupervised
  • Responsibilities

    The role of receptionist is crucial to any organization. As the first point of contact for visitors to the office, you act as an ambassador for the Church as you create a welcoming atmosphere, greet visitors, and screen calls.

    Your good judgment, proper etiquette, diplomacy, and organizational skills create an image of professionalism and portray to visitors our genuine desire to assist them and to exemplify the Saviour in all we do.

    As a casual on-call receptionist, you would be required to work on an as needed basis. This will require you to be available at short notice.

    You will be responsible for answering and directing phone calls, meeting and greeting visitors, room bookings, and assisting with mail delivery processes.

    Additional duties may include assisting with administration and clerical tasks such as data entry and word processing.
