Develop, maintain and execute a cost effective static / pressure equipment inspection and condition assessment programme to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, and plant availability and reliability targets are achieved.
Provide technical support to the organisation for all inspection and repair activities.
Assist in the development and implementation of inspection management strategies.
Inspect static equipment in the plant as required and identify any action necessary to rectify deficiencies.
Provide expertise for inspection regulatory and compliance matters to the Maintenance department and other departments / sites as required.
Maintain the long-term condition assessment program to meet the required plant availability, the long-term inspection strategy, ISO system requirements and statutory requirements for all static equipment.
Provide technical support and direction to the maintenance supervisors, technicians, engineers and other key stakeholders for static equipment repairs and maintenance.
Develop and execute effective monitoring and reporting systems to ensure compliance with all Methanex quality management system requirements.
Ensure that statutory inspections are completed and certificates issued for all applicable pressure equipment, pipelines and tanks as per the asset management system to comply with all regulatory requirements.
Liaise with other departments to coordinate major shutdowns and turnaround activities supporting development of turnaround equipment work scope, inspection plans and risk reviews.
Lead small teams and manage inspection resources as required.
Provide backup support to the Compliance and Integrity Lead.
Participate in design reviews for the Management of Change (MOC) process as related to the integrity of pressure equipment.
Provide strategic and technical input into the site Inspection Test Plan (ITP) development for critical equipment.
Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable Pressure Equipment, Pipeline and HSNO statutory requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
CBIP Senior Welding Inspector (SWI) or equivalent
CBIP Pressure Equipment Inspector with endorsements (PEI end A&B) or equivalent
Petrochemical plant, refining inspection, processing plant or relevant industrial experience
Detailed understanding of NZ legislation, approved codes of practice, international codes and standards particularly AS / NZS and ASME
Sound understanding of pressure equipment, atmospheric storage tanks and pipeline management systems
Corrosion identification, assessment, mitigation and control
Materials selection and application
Quality assurance / quality control
Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, procedures and practices
Geographical Information Software (GIS)
