The Liggins Institute at the University of Auckland has an exciting opportunity for a Research Nurse for the MR DIAMOND Study.
The successful applicant will be responsible for clinical care of participants during transport and MRI scans, and the effective coordination of the MR DIAMOND Study.
This role will be working in the LiFEPATH group, which is a collegial, multidisciplinary team including scientists and clinicians conducting translational research that examines clinical problems at a molecular level, through whole animal physiology to clinical trial and application.
Our research programme focuses on how maternal, foetal and neonatal nutrition and the intrauterine environment affect foetal and postnatal growth, childhood development and lifelong health.
DIAMOND is a multicentre factorial design randomised trial assessing the effects of three feeding strategies in moderate-
late preterm babies. MR DIAMOND is a nested study to determine the effects of these different feeding strategies on specific aspects of brain maturation involving MRI scans on a subset of the DIAMOND participants.

This is a part time position at 18.75 hours per week, available on a fixed term basis of 2 years. You will be based at Auckland City Hospital.
