Clinical Specialty Midwife Diabetes in Pregnancy

Our community needs you! An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Midwife to join our team of Diabetes Community Midwives.
The team provides continuity of antenatal and postnatal care, in clinics and the home within the South Auckland region.
This role will primarily be working alongside women who have pre-existing or gestational diabetes in pregnancy. The focus will be on providing antenatal and postnatal midwifery care, together with individualised diabetes care.
The hours of work are Monday - Friday, with a rostered on call component for 7 days a week offering telephone advice only.
Ideally, the successful candidate for this senior midwifery role will have had experience of working with women who have had diabetes during their pregnancy, however this is not essential.

It is an essential requirement of the role that you will complete the agreed Advanced Diabetes Nursing Practice Paper within 18 months of commencing in the position.
