Gilmour’s Central is currentlylooking for an experienced Manager to join our Operations team in PalmerstonNorth.
Purpose of this role is to manageour service team at our Gilmour’s Palmerston North hub. This position has becomeavailable due to resignation.
Key responsibilities of the rolewill be :
Responsiblefor the management of the order pick team, ensuring customer orders are picked accuratelyand on time
Managethe loadout for local deliveries and our regional cross dock depots in NewPlymouth and Hastings
Manageall resources efficiently and effectively to achieve the Company’s goals,objectives and KPI standards and at all times promote a healthy and safeenvironment.
Key attributes for the roleinclude :
Theability to manage tasks and organise workloads to achieve desired outcomes witha focus in attention to detail.
Ademonstrated high level of customer focus with a clear understanding of theneeds of the customer and an ability to deliver to expectations.
Excellentproblem solving skills.
A highlevel of interpersonal skills
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in aTransport / logistics operation and a sound knowledge of transport and warehousemanagement systems and technology.
An understanding of food safety complianceand good numeracy and literacy skills combined with knowledge of Microsoftsuite of products to an intermediate level is also essential.
You will be a team player who canwork autonomously, have excellent communication, presentation, and ademonstrated work ethic.
