As the first point of call, our Front Office team provides professional and efficient service to exceed the needs and expectations of all guests via telephone or at the Lodge & Motels reception desk.

As a Receptionist for the Lodge your average day will involve :

  • Checking in and out of guests
  • Ensuring that all guest accounts are correct, revenue is posted on the day charges are incurred, prepare invoices and balance daily cashiering
  • Sharing your strong knowledge of accommodation, activities, rates and the surrounding areas, in order to sell our products and services and maximise occupancy and revenue
  • Liaising with and communicating all relevant information to the Front Office team and to other departments
  • Ensuring that all security procedures are followed in relation to cash, keys, guest security and privacy
  • Handling requests and complaints, deferring to the Manager / Supervisor when necessary
  • Maintaining a consistently high standard of accuracy when inputting information into the Lodge computer systems
  • Demonstrating an understanding of both Health & Safety (including accident reporting procedures) and emergency procedures and assisting in hotel evacuations
  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Reception experience or similar preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • The ability to speak a second language (Japanese or Chinese) would be highly regarded
  • A tertiary qualification in related discipline would be highly regarded
