With the Rolleston based UHT plant now in production, this role reports to the Rolleston Site Process Manager and is responsible for providing mechanical and electrical support to the UHT and RO facilities, ensuring the plant runs at maximum performance, capability and reliability.
You will be responsible for the scheduling and carrying out of servicing, repairs and maintenance for all UHT and RO plant and equipment to maximise plant optimisation and maintain a high quality product.
This role involves coordinating the purchase and inventory of engineering spare parts, as well as managing and working alongside contractors.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed, you will need proven technical engineering skills and qualifications, with relevant work experience from within the dairy sector, preferably with a UHT background in processing or filling.
You will be fully conversant with preventative maintenance systems, experienced in assembling and testing mechanical and electrical components, and knowledgeable in installing electro mechanical industrial equipment.
You will be flexible, collaborate well within a team environment and be confident to work autonomously in a sole engineering capacity for the shift.
In addition, you will have analytical and problem solving abilities. This role is part of a newly created third shift (in the process of being recruited).
It is currently a four day shift operation, with overtime and shift allowance applying.
