This is an exciting career opportunity for a Data Scientist to lead and support our Artificial Intelligence (machine / deep learning) initiatives, providing high impact Artificial Intelligence analysis across a range of research projects.
These will include building a model for an artificial insect antenna receptor, 3D image analysis of fruit trees to predict yield, and computer vision detection of plant diseases.
You will work closely with other scientists and industry partners whilst building and maintaining international connections in the Artificial Intelligence field.
As a minimum, you will have an MSc in Data or Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field, with two years' experience in a similar role.
You'll have a broad knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applications such as machine learning, deep learning or computer vision, and advanced skills in programming (preferably Python or R).
You'll also have sound scientific writing and oral presentation skills and a proven ability to conduct research projects.
Your ability to contribute to and produce peer reviewed scientific publications and presentations in project meetings and international conferences will be a strong advantage.
