About The Job Our Drainage work is expanding and we are seeking an experienced Certified Drainlayer to join our team based in Nelson.
Must hold a Certified Drainlayer licence and be confident in undertaking all aspects of drainlaying
Hold a clean driver’s licence with a minimum of Class 2. Wheels Tracks and Roller would also be an advantage.
Have the ability to effectively train and develop others.
Have a sound understanding of environmental procedures and the ability to implement systems and processes to effectively protect the environment at all times.
Be adaptable and have the capacity to cope with multiple issues.
Have a strong work ethic and be committed to the highest standards of health and safety that we comply with.
Be flexible and fluid to changes in conditions.
Be physically fit, able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Main Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring all drainage is laid according to specification and best practice industry standards.
Be self-managing and ensure that all timelines and targets are met.
Be available for weekend and night work as required to meet our internal needs and the needs of our customers.
Assess each job and advise on alternative methods available to achieve a better outcome.
Problem solve and provide solutions to address any issues identified in the process.
Ability to communicate effectively and participate in a team environment.
Actively and effectively mentor those completing their apprenticeships.
Strong work ethic, a high level of attention to detail & committed to the highest standards of health & safety.
