specific solutions that help them protect their future and thrive. Marsh has over 25,000 employees worldwide. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to join us and lead our Dunedin practice as the Branch Manager.

In this role you will be leading and driving a client centric and team culture with a strong focus on growth. Your prime responsibilities in this role include :

  • Managing the branch and driving the business to identify and capitalise on revenue generation, growth and other opportunities from an existing portfolio.
  • This will also include adding new clients in line with budget targets. A very high level of service is expected to be provided to clients at all times, delivering the Marsh value proposition across all parts of the business.

  • Assist, lead and mentor all subordinate positions (including administrative / support roles) by providing clear and effective communication, leadership and strategic direction to ensure all staff perform at their optimum level.
  • Contribute towards the Company's profit objectives through the effective management and attainment of the Branches revenue and expense budgets.
  • Design, deliver and manage the achievement of the Dunedin Branch operational and strategic business plans and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a positive open work environment ensuring a team focus on client retention and successful growth and meeting service standards.
  • The successful candidate will :

  • Have a successful track record as a team leader or manager with at least 5-10 years commercial insurance experience. It would be advantageous to have a broking background.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance Marsh offers and strong technical and legislative knowledge.
  • Manage internal and external client relationships with a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times.
  • Have exceptional networking skills and credibility within the industry to deliver the best results for Marsh clients.
  • Be able to work autonomously in the field as the role will involve domestic travel from time to time.
  • To be successful in this role you will be an individual that is driven to succeed in a competitive market and thrive in managing and supporting a successful and collaborative team in both client retention and sales.

    You will have market connections and have a strong strategic vision along with solid business acumen.
