Our Unit

First established in 1996, the Rehabilitation Teaching & Research Unit (RTRU) is a specialist group that focuses on inter-

professionalism, distant education and research in rehabilitation.

Housed within the Department of Medicine on the University of Otago’s Wellington campus, our team consists of physicians, physiotherapists, an occupational therapist, and a clinical psychologist.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to assist with project work in the field of musculoskeletal health.

You will work with the research team to :

  • Develop a series of research questions with sufficient description to enable application of the current preliminary evaluation framework.
  • Conduct surveys of ANZMUSC membership using 1000Minds, RedCap or Qualtrics web-based survey software.
  • Clean and assemble data for analysis.
  • Prepare a preliminary manuscript ready for review prior to submission for publication.
  • Skills and Experience

  • Experienced researcher with at least, or working towards, a Masters level qualification.
  • Good people skills.
  • Organisation and writing ability essential.
  • Some experience of web-based surveys is preferred, but not essential.

    This is a part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed term position from September until end December 2018.
