If this sounds like you and you can make complicated ideas seem easy, consider joining the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) Portfolio and Project Services Team.
We currently have a two vacancies : a permanent full time position and a 12 month fixed term full time position . Both roles could be appointed at either the Senior Investment Adviser or an Investment Adviser level.
The Portfolio and Project Services (P&PS) is expanding its role within MPI from a traditional project management office to become the steward of investment related processes, including advice and monitoring.
The team provides strategic investment advice and leadership, and supports the development of strategic organisational initiatives, including MPIs contribution to the Government Budget process.
The P&PS team requires some superstars to help us deliver our work programme. We are looking for someone with experience / interest in project / portfolio management and an interest in where MPI invests its money to get the best value for New Zealanders.
There is complexity and challenge, so no two days are the same. You will need to be adaptable and able to respond to senior leaders key priorities.
And you need to be comfortable operating with numbers, words and financial information and able to analyse them all to draw out conclusions.
These roles require strategic nous, tactical know how and the ability to communicate with a wide range of people including senior leaders.
It also helps if you can create a mean-as A3.
