We are now seeking permanent part time and casual support workers to our Homecare team in Blenheim and the surrounding Marlborough region.
A day in this role will see you :
Working autonomously with a wide range of clients in the community,
Using your personal vehicle to drive between scheduled visits,
Representing Nurse Maude in your professional presentation and approach to each client and their Whanau,
Following a care plan, to provide support with personal care and household duties,
Completing such tasks as assistance with showering, dressing, mobility, medication support, hosiery application; housework, meal preparation and grocery shopping support.
Hours of work :
We are seeking two part time employees to work approximately 20 hours per week and above.
Operating Monday through Sunday, the successful permanent part time applicants will be offered guaranteed hours and agreed work times will be inclusive of morning, evening and weekend shifts.
We are also seeking casual employees to work in a flexible nature, with hours mutually agreed in line with service requirements.
Having availability to work at least alternate weekends is a requirement of this role.
To be successful in this position, you will :
Be professional, honest and reliable.
Be friendly in your approach, passionate about working with people, and providing a high level of care for our clients.
Be fit and able to achieve all tasks associated with the position, including bending, crouching, and long periods of time on your feet.
Hold a full New Zealand drivers licence, and have your own reliable transport.
Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
The ideal applicants will have previous experience working in the community as a support worker, or a similar role, holding a Certificate in Health and Wellbeing.
However, this is not essential, as full training is available.
