As the Business Services Manager Facilities Management, you will be a member of the Facilities Management (FM) leadership team where you will make a valuable contribution to decisions within the leadership team and across the business unit, driving the organisational culture -
customer-centric, intelligence led, and agile.
In this role you will be expected to achieve the following accountability expectations :
leading the end to end management of property and facilities assets and improving the effectiveness of asset management.
leading a team of technical property and FM specialists. You will be responsible for developing your team's capability and leading them through change.
managing the planning, for example National Property Plan and Asset Management Plan, to help inform asset replacement opportunities.
forming and maintaining strong stakeholder relations internally and externally.
leading the timely delivery of executive level papers and reporting on FM matters.
identifying risks and issues and developing appropriate treatment plans.
anticipating and identifying opportunities for contributing to the achievement of our business objectives.
implementing a continuous improvement culture.
To be successful in this role you will need :
property and FM experience and technical expertise and be able to walk the talk with technical consultants, and also communicate in a clear and simple way with business stakeholders.
strong people leadership experience, including coaching and mentoring
facilitation and relationship management skills, with an emphasis on delivering agreed outcomes and results for our people and customers.
good experience in prioritising and delivering initiatives within agreed timeframes, with experience in managing a portfolio of work, made up of multiple initiatives and projects.
good business acumen and organisational awareness of the strategy and priorities of the organisation.
organisational agility, and be comfortable working with a wide array of managers across the organisation.
strong problem solving skills, be able to see the big picture, be able to work to tight timeframes, and make well-reasoned decisions.
