    About the role

    Providing support from within our Te Ara Pai service, this role is focused on working with Tangata Whaiora for a time limited period to engage or re-

    engage them with their community. You will also focus on supporting them to identify goals, collaborating to produce a personalised plan and enabling Tangata Whaiora to reconnect and work through the system.

    The service delivery side of this role will require you to work and coordinate with your other colleagues to support the Tangata Whaiora through their journey, providing a safe environment and supporting them with their goals and daily tasks

  • Who we're looking for;
  • We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest and understanding of what it is like to experience housing distress and emergency housing.

    You will be positive, flexible, vibrant, confident and passionate about working in our service.

    You will enjoy working creatively and autonomously, be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with the community.

    You will need to think on your feet, remain calm under pressure and really encourage our clients along their journey. Be part of a passionate team, and be able to communicate easily with a variety of people.

  • What you need;
  • It's desirable that you will have a Level 4 or 5 qualification in Mental Health and Addiction
  • It's essential that you have a full New Zealand driving licence
  • Strong computer skills, a 'can-do' attitude and be able to demonstrate strong personal and professional boundaries
