The purpose of this role is to ensure that changes and releases made on systems within Datacom’s control adhere to the defined Change Management Processes.
We’re looking for a capable and flexible Change Analyst who will take on the role as below :
Collate and organize Change Management data for monthly reports
Work with the Change Manager, Client and Service Delivery Managers for coordination and delivery of change to clients.
Take responsibility for the administration of all processes specific to change and release events.
Take responsibility for ensuring that changes and releases are processed and delivered within agreed timeframes.
Report to the Change Manager on the quality of execution of the change management process.
Provide assistance to the Change Manager in the deliver reports in line with agreed KPIs.
Present reports and comments to the Change Manager and Process Services Manager on a monthly basis.
Coordinate change events across Datacom’s Outsourcing technical teams, Service Delivery teams, and customers.
Regularly contribute to the pool of Datacom intellectual capital material.
Be a regular communicator within the rest of the Datacom Change Management Team especially in regard to process solutions,
reporting improvements, change issues and CAB agenda items.
Contribute in the development of good Change Management practices.
We’re looking for the blend of experience and personality to take on a customer facing role, specifically :
Strong interpersonal skills and effective peer group communication.
Good IT technical skills.
Strong Word, Visio and Excel skills as these are the primary tools for reporting and analytical work.
Some experience of ITIL would be advantageous.
Some experience with CA Service Desk and the Change Management module of this system would be useful.
Experience with testing, SDLC, back-out planning, training and development of documentation would be advantageous.
Ability to remain calm, professional and objective in what can become heated situations.
A good sense of humour and willingness to be a part of a very large virtual team of more than 150 possible change makers.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Analytical skills required to do trend analysis and in-depth reporting.
Strong IT Background, preferably in services or service management.
ITIL Foundation Qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
