Autonomous and challenging role working within a great Category Team
About the Role
This role oversees our Capital Equipment and Repco Tyre Repair categories and you will work closely with the Category Manager (based in Australia) to ensure that all category plans are successfully executed on time and all identified customer and business objectives are met.
It’s a busy role that places you amongst the team in our support office, but you'll build relationships across the network dealing often with the team throughout the wider network.
Key responsibilities include :
Supporting the implementation of the strategic direction of the category to grow overall profit and margins
Develop, implements and takes responsibility for nominated sub category plans
Assist the Category Manager to implement promotional, communications and marketing programs to maintain our position as the leading supplier
Present new product opportunities and make recommendations
Provide analytical support, analysing numerical, verbal and other data sources to make recommendations to the Category Manager for nominated projects
Accountable for the accurate and complete submission of all relevant products in the promotional planning process within the required deadlines
Accountable for providing comprehensive post implementation review data and reports on relevant promotional offers
Liaise with all business units and operations to ensure the successful implementation of all tasks and plans
Support the Equipment Sales and Support teams in the Key Account area to deliver budgeted results
Work with Category Manager to ensure we have well balance inventory
The Ideal Candidate
Being able to demonstrate your success previously in a category (or similar) you’ll be confident dealing with suppliers and liaising across the business with internal stakeholders.
Experience within automotive would be advantageous, or some knowledge of the industry. Your experience and history will demonstrate :
A tertiary graduate or previous success within a category role
Experience within automotive or strong automotive knowledge is highly desirable
A self-starter with the desire and drive to progress
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail, results focus and ability to multi-task
Be agile and flexible to meet demands and deadlines
Have a roll up the sleeves mentality to getting the job done
Be naturally inquisitive and look to add value to assigned tasks
